The Doris and Shouky Shaheen Collection focuses on French art of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
In observance of the 2020 centennial of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution granting women the right to vote, this installation is drawn from the High Museum’s collection and features artworks made exclusively by women.
Presented on the High’s outdoor Caroll Slater Sifly Piazza, this soaring, stunning installation will envelop guests, evoking tree canopies throughout the city and region.
This exhibition is the first of its kind to delve into the events, people, and themes of the civil rights movement, both celebrated and forgotten, through one of the most compelling forms of visual expression, the children’s picture book.
