The Kress Collection
In 1958, the Samuel H. Kress Foundation donated over thirty European paintings and sculptures from the 1300s through the 1700s to the High. The High houses one of eighteen regional Kress collections nationwide and features Giovanni Bellini’s Madonna and Child, Benvenuto Tisi’s Adoration of the Magi, and Vittore Carpaccio’s Prudence and Temperance.
