Event Description
Join us for a multi-week studio course inspired by the special exhibition What Is Left Unspoken, Love. During this class, participants will have the opportunity to experiment with a wide range of media, from sculpture to collage to fiber arts, pulling inspiration from the impressive range of internationally acclaimed artists featured in the exhibition. Led by High Museum teaching artists, participants will learn various art-making techniques including embroidery and textile design, figural sculpting, and found-object collage. The six exhibition themes will serve as a guide as participants engage with and explore the many forms of love.
The first class will meet in the Taylor Lobby of the Wieland Pavilion. After presenting your ticket at the Admissions Desk, please make your way to the check-in cart located in front of Ellsworth Kelly’s Blue, Green, Red. Materials will be provided. No prior experience is necessary. This class meets on Tuesdays from July 19 through August 9.
