High Museum of Art

Event Description

Atlanta’s favorite DJs join us every first Friday for a cultural experience designed to raise the vibration.
Set out on a musical journey with the city’s most popular DJs. Take in the Museum’s collection, create a piece of art, and participate in a docent-led tour. Grab a drink and food and meet new friends where Atlanta and art collide.

Dance your way through the Museum as you visit exhibitions, including   What is Left Upspoken, Love, Oliver Jeffers: 15 Years of Picturing Books , Bob Thompson: This House is Mine, and Off the Grid.

This month’s performances are curated by Karl Injex from Soundtable:

Karl Injex

DJ Aroop

Orkin Terrace
Drink & Draw with music

Gallery Talks:

The exhibition, Off the Grid,  surveys the High’s diverse collecting areas, offering unprecedented juxtapositions of works by artists from a variety of cultural backgrounds and artistic practices, unified conceptually by their engagement with grids. Join the 2021 – 2022 Mellon Undergraduate Curatorial Fellows for a gallery talk on the exhibition.

This exhibition is curated by Katherine Jentleson in collaboration with the 2021-2022 Mellon Undergraduate Curatorial Fellows, Nailah Barnes, Sojourner Hunt, and Nyaradzai Machachi.
